My husband and I enjoyed breakfast here and we enjoyed the food was very flavorful. We ordered the Shrimp empanadas which didn't disappoint. The staff were very attentive and the food arrived fresh, hot and quick. It was nice to hear Mexican music playing while we were eating.
Food and service was delicious. I'm so mad at myself that I didn't try this place sooner. I live walking distance from here. The lady that took my order was so sweet. Can't wait to come back.
Wow! 10 stars!! First time here and wanted to venture outside our regular top 3 taco places. Found this gem while googling/yelping up Mexican food. Clean, spacious and super friendly staffs. Price is reasonable and portion is great! Food was made timely for take out. Shrimp empanadas- for $15.99 several pieces- great for sharing! Flavorful, simply delicious. Comes with green salsa and sour cream dip. This would be great option for catering. Asada Fries/ I'm getting this for myself next time! A burst of flavor in your mouth. Beef, guac, salsa, fries, cheese and more. Worth the price! A side of rice- I have to have rice and it was yummy. Wish they have an option to order a bigger size. Want more!! :) And last but not least- asada taco- when everyone else charges a 24karat gold for a piece of taco, this place price their taco reasonably. You won't got broke getting 10 of these :D And, still have enough change for other things on the menu. Go here tonight if they're still open, or tomorrow for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Enjoy!! We truly enjoyed our take out dinner.
I really like this restaurant. After reading the reviews and trying it for myself, the pictures don't do the restaurant justice in terms of atmosphere. It's perfect for a date, regular visit, and family. There's not much in the restaurant, but there doesn't need to be. They have a couple of TV's, and it the perfect volume where you can hear the TV, the restaurant music, and still have a conversation. It's very chill and relaxing. It's just like restaurants at home, as another customer mentioned. I really want to give the food 5 stars because it's so, so good! But the pozole, which I will still continue to eat, just needs some seasoning. Some salt will do, but I can add that in at the table. That's my only complaint. Everything else is perfect. There is free parking, and they take cash and card. They have tap-to-pay function too. They even have champurrado during the cold season. It made me so happy to finally find a restaurant with dedicated champurrado seasons that take card. I don't like to carry cash. Thanks Mi Familia for the wonderful time!! Your staff is very kind and great people!! Below is my description of the pozole: It comes in a big container, but I put mine in a bowl at home because I didn't want to eat it all at once. It comes with broth, pork, hominy, regular onion & stuff on the side (limes, cabbage, radish, chips, salsa, and tostada). It's a mild spice. I added the cilantro and the green onion from home. The pork is cooked well (fall-off-the-bone type of texture), but it's not seasoned. So I'd give the pozole a 3.5/5 because seasoning is everything to me. The burritos are fire and affordable! I got a super burrito, which is only $1 more than your choice of meat regular burrito. I love this place!
Pleasantly surprised with the food here! The menu was very extensive with lots of options. We ordered an al pastor super burrito and carne asada combo plate to go. It took about 20-30 minutes for our food to come out. The food tasted great. The pastor was flavorful and had a nice crisp to it. And the burrito was huge and had a ton of meat. The carne asada combo came with rice, beans, tortillas, carne asada, some fries and some veggies. Our order came with a small bag of chips. We noticed there was no chip/salsa bar so we didn't pack any chips/salsa ourselves. So excited to try more food from here and maybe dine in.
You can't miss this bright pink building! Came on a Friday afternoon after passing through the area at lunchtime. You can order at the counter & then seat yourself. We were helped by a very nice lady. The large menu left a lot to be asked about, but she patiently answered our questions. Between some choices, she shared that the pastor was her preferred meat. We ordered an enchiladas suizas plate with pastor & green salsa, & a customized super burrito with pastor & red salsa. The restaurant is aged and dated with a little decor. The tables & chairs have seen some use. Music echos in the spacious interior. A tv was showing some international sports. A big whiteboard was randomly in a corner. Notably, each table conveniently had hand sanitizer & toothpicks. Food was brought to the table, and we were checked in on for satisfaction. We got a little complimentary serving of chips & salsa. The salsa was very tasty & well seasoned, but the chips were subpar & we didn't finish them. The food was served quite hot, which I love. The plate came with 3 enchiladas, beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, & avocado slices. (I never see freely added avocado!) The food was good. The meat in my enchiladas was delicious & ample. The green salsa was delightfully acidic & bright. The beans were flavorful & the rice was yummy. The vegetation was very fresh. The super burrito also hit the spot & had lots of meat. We were told the red salsa was spicier, but personally it wasn't that spicy. What was lacking in ambiance was made up for in yumminess & customer service. Overall, a good lunch experience for us!
We visit this restaurant regularly. The ambiance is always welcoming, clean, inviting and comfortable. We have young children and we feel right at home having them eat, and play peacefully inside. Food is absolutely incredible and the family service is so kind. Please support this family restaurant. You won't be disappointed!
Doordashed this place twice already! Food is very authentic to what Mexican food is for me. My favorite is their quesabirrias! It comes with the consome (broth), I wish they give out more than one little cup of broth when I ordered 5 quesabirrias tho... Their tacos are very good, tried those asada, carnitas and al pastor. Very savory and love it's salsa. Best salsa so far in sac and Roseville! The carne asada plate was a little disappointed. The fries were soggy and very little beef, u can do maybe 3 tacos. But flavor was good.
A hidden gem! This place is fantastic! The food is spectacular, fresh, and reasonably priced! . The people that run this place are super friendly, and it's obvious that they care very much about their customers.
